Fat Old Man to Fit Old Man
When you think about it, I am actually not that old.
I am, however, a man on a spectacular journey towards optimal health, wellness and fitness during the second half of my life.
“What’s so special about that?” you may ask.
Well for starters, I’m now as physically strong, healthy and FIT as I was in my early 30s…
But more importantly, during this journey I’ve had many conversations with men over the age of 40 for whom “things aren’t what they used to be.”
I heard this type of humiliating comment countless times…
“Well, I’m older now and I guess that’s just the way I’m going to be…
fat, sick, on medication and feeling terrible… until I kick the bucket.”
What’s striking about a lot of men in this age group is their sense of helplessness, and their belief that they are on a downward spiral from here on in.
My own journey has proven to me that this defeatist attitude (often brought on by a confusion of information) does not have to be your only option.
